Our Team has over 20 years of experience guiding people out of pain and discomfort and into enjoying their lives. We have no problems with the concept of maintaining our cars to make them last, but we expect our bodies to keep going through thick and thin without any maintenance. This is absurd. At Ground Luminosity, we teach you how to take care of your body, so it lasts as well as a classic car.
I founded Ground Luminosity in 2012, but have been a bodyworker since 2006. I discovered in this time that, as much as I’d like it to be true, bodywork is not the only answer for improving one’s life. It sure does help, but so does acupuncture, good nutrition, and safe exercise like yoga, tai-chi and qigong. Combined a person can achieve an amazing state of existence. For this reason, I have expanded my practice to include acupuncture and exercise classes with nutrition workshops. My intention and that of my team is to help improve the lives of as many people as we can, so they can make decisions from a place of love and trust to continue their health and that of the environment. It sounds cheesy, I know, but it’s true. The only future we have is the one we create.
Gina Compello, Shiatsu Practitioner
I graduated in 2012 from the macrobiotic program offered by Denny Waxman in Philadelphia. This course led me to expand and continue my education by enrolling in The International School of Shiatsu (ISS) in 2013.
While continuing my macrobiotic studies, I began taking shiatsu classes at ISS. I assisted Denny Waxman by scribing for health consultations from 2011 to 2015 while also apprenticing in the kitchen at the Strengthening Health Institute for macrobiotic cooking. In addition to my shiatsu practice, I also offer cooking classes, private cooking, and general health consultations.

Corinne G. Jones, Yoga Instructor
Corinne has practiced yoga for many years. She enjoys many styles of yoga, including Bikram, Yin, and Vinyasa. Corinne couples her passion for enabling your personal growth with her experience in psychology, law and education, to deliver a coherent and individually tailored pathway that will transform your body and your life. Corinne’s approach to yoga honors the need to develop a healthy mind and body so that we may bring our best selves to our interpersonal relations and our community. Your practice with Corinne will build your personal strength and stamina and lead to healthy sense of peace. Her asana practice will allow you to explore the Spiritual through the Physical.
Corinne’s Vinyasa style classes, workshops and private sessions emphasize technique and alignment to ensure that practitioners of all levels may safely and progressively advance their practice. Variety and longer sequences are introduced appropriately to challenge and inspire seasoned practitioners, as well as to demonstrate to newer yogis the transformative power of consistent and dedicated practice. The most difficult part of yoga is often making an affirmative decision to practice, and Corinne provides a safe environment that encourages every yogi to reach new levels.
Vinyasa - Class Description: The practice naturally shows us how to link movement with breath to promote transformation - inside and out. Corinne’s creative, and often challenging, Vinyasa sequences will strengthen and stretch you, and will improve your stamina. You will leave feeling wrung out, refreshed and rejuvenated, all at the same time.
